Overview

About this training

A two-day professional learning experience bringing together Junior and Senior Kindergarten teachers and Designated Early Childhood Educators (DECEs) working within the Toronto District School Board.

The training is designed to support the collaborative work of Kindergarten educator teams and provide two focused days of professional learning, discussion, and practical application.

You’ll leave with

  • A shared language for the teacher–DECE partnership in the Kindergarten classroom
  • Practical approaches to play-based inquiry that you can use the following week
  • Documentation habits that make children’s thinking visible without adding paperwork
  • Time to plan with your own team, facilitated and uninterrupted
What’s included

Everything is coordinated for you

Two full days of professional learning

Programming specifically for educators working within Junior and Senior Kindergarten.

Lunch both days

Lunch will be provided Thursday and Friday.

Thursday team dinner

Participants will be invited to join their colleagues for dinner following the first day of training.

Thursday-night hotel accommodation

Fully covered accommodation is available to eligible participants travelling more than 20 km to the training venue. Rooms are limited and must be requested in advance.
